Instructors

Whitney Derendinger’s recent credits include Good People (Stevie) and The Farnsworth Invention with Forward Theater Company, Uncle John in The Grapes of Wrath at UW-Madison, Fred in A Christmas Carol with Children’s Theater of Madison, and Charles the Wrestler in As You Like It at Door Shakespeare. He also portrayed a whole litany of characters in the one-man show Pounding Nails and is an instructor at the CTM Summer Shakespeare Workshop.

Clare Arena Haden received her MFA in acting with a focus on Voice for the Actor from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has worked as a voice and speech coach, actor, and teaching artist for professional theatres throughout the Midwest, including APT, CTM, First Stage, Renaissance Theaterworks, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, and Madison Opera. She currently serves as the Oral Communications Specialist at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology and is a proud member of AEA, VASTA, and TESOL.

Scott Haden has enjoyed acting for theatres across the country, including American Players Theatre, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Writers’ Theatre (Jeff Nomination), Madison Repertory Theatre, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, and Theatre at the Center. He is a proud member of Actors’ Equity. Scott has also spent time on the other side of the curtain, serving as the Managing Director at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre, and he is currently the Communications Director at Forward Theater Company in Madison.

R L Widmann has taught Shakespeare for over 40 years at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Colorado Boulder. She also teaches courses on prose by women and is deeply invested in thinking about the intersections between technology and the humanities. She is currently a Reader and research scholar at the Folger Shakespeare library, Washington D.C.
